Caught this guy sneaking around in our back yard. Fun to have cool wildlife dropping in every now and again.
If you’re in Colorado and your driving from Canon City to Westcliffe you will pass a farm (on your left) where these guys nest. We’ve driven past it 1,000 times and we stop nearly every time … truly amazing.
Simple picture. Love the reflection in the water.
There is a story behind this one. Sheryl was on the Bow of Maybe Manana when this whale breached. He was so close she got sprayed from the splash down. Sheryl had just got me my camera for Christmas this year. I have no idea how I managed to get an image … we had this one printed on metal and it turned out great!
Three of these guys just cruised by while I was snapping pictures of the Blue Herron nesting area.
Near a beach we stayed at in Cabo they had built Turtle nests. As these guys wake up they make the long trek to the Pacific to hopefully live long and healthy lives.
A just born turtle in Cabo making his way to the Pacific!
The whales in Cabo rarely disappoint with putting on a show!
The Mule Deer population is … healthy… in Westcliffe! I guess if Custer County doesn’t have enough players for a football game it looks like the deer are ready for action.
Sometimes when whale watching you lose track of the other amazing sights to see. This guy was just hanging around hoping maybe someone would toss some live bait to him!
It’s cool to get out on the boat, especially a boat like Reel Quest. As you can tell though the whale watching in Cabo can easily occur right off the beach.
Caught this guy sneaking around our back yard.
I actually like this picture better than one of my pinnacle pics of a whale breaching. This guy has color, personality, and gave us quite a show. He deserves his spot on the favorites list.
